ABOUT US
SABICO FARMS
SABICO FARMS (SL) LIMITED was established in 2020 in Freetown, Sierra Leone when the CEO Sabaina Kandeh saw an unmet need in the agriculture sector during a trip to visit her family in Freetown. Sabaina decided to create a company with its mission to boost food security and create employment opportunities for youth and women in Sierra Leone. SABICO FARMS (SL) LIMITED currently has over 50 employees and 4 farms in Sierra Leone with a combined acreage spanning over 4,000 acres located in Moyamba District and Port Loko District and also plans to to own agro-processing facilities.
SABICO FARMS (SL) LIMITED is primarily focused on growing crops such as cassava, maize, hot pepper, onions, etc., and intends to add more crops and even livestock very soon. SABICO FARMS (SL) LIMITED intends to grow crops on a large scale and plans to own agro-processing facilities in Sierra Leone to process these crops for domestic and foreign markets. The company’s slogan is “We Sabi Farm”, which is aligned with the President’s initiative to “Feed Salone” because indeed Sierra Leone has vast arable land, and with the right resources implemented the country will be more than capable of feeding itself without being heavily dependent on importing food to feed its people. This will eventually reduce food prices and end hunger in Sierra Leone because the average family will be able to afford to eat at least one meal per day.
